(I should mention up front that I was in property management for some years whilst I put myself thru college & grad school. So I know the score, and I know what goes on behind the curtain. My props had a 95% renewal rate, 99.4% occupancy rate--I was no slouch; and I tolerate none in other prop managers either, especially where I live. To call me picky would be the understatement of the century.) Have lived here for almost four years (& my utilities have never been higher than $95) and have found it for the most part an enjoyable experience. Recently the apartments have undergone major renovation--new roofs, painting, gutters, landscaping, parking lot striped, pools, personal office, small workout area with new equipment and the list just goes on--and all during those renovations I was *not* inconvenienced even a little bit. The logistics of such a massive project were handled about as well as I have ever seen for any construction project. Just a superlative job. The property sparkles; the neighbors are fine--absolutely zero crime (BPD regularly patrols the area); the noise level is subdued; the maintenance is thorough, quick and professional. And the location--by the Boy's Ranch, with jogging trails, a lake, ducks, workout gym, etc.--is just great. I would without reservation recommend this property to anyone. The folks managing it are serious about and effective in maintaining a comfortable quality of life, about addressing the concerns of the residents and about responding to maintenance requests within a 24 hour period. I've lived in upscale, $2,000 mo. apartment homes and I've lived in $75 a week dives, and I've managed every kind of property, from college student props. to high end luxury condos. And for my money--dollar-for-dollar--Point Loma Woods is among the best value.
Hi, Leasing Office! I wanted to take time out to say thank you once again for all that you did in welcoming me to PLA. Every detail was noticed and greatly appreciated. I also want to give special thanks for the referral to the movers: that was a huge lifesaver.
